  • Are all the products organic?

    We guarantee that 100% of all fish, meat, dairy and dry products are organic or wild origin. And we guarantee that 90% of the vegetables and fruits are of organic or wild origin. We are BIO certified.
  • Where do the ingredients come from?

    We strives to buy our products from local/regional producers whenever possible. To learn more about our suppliers have a look at our "partners" section on the "who we are" page
  • Can I choose my recipes?

    Our menus change every week. You can not choose each recipe individually, but you can choose the box which fits your needs best.
  • Can I see the recipes for the next delivery?

    Yes. In the box detail you can see the box content for the next 2 weeks. You can see both the individual recipes, the overall box ingredients, the calories per meal per person and the allergens
  • Do you offer vegetarian and vegan boxes?

    Yes we do! And they are not just for vegetarians; they are for all those vegetable lovers out there and for those who like a change once in a while.
  • Do you offer menus for people with special dietary requirements?

    Yes we do. We offer a vegan box, free of all animal produce. We also offer a low carb box which is free of all grains. And we offer a gluten free box which is free of all products that contain gluten and milk. All our other boxes can contain milk, spelt and wheat products.
  • Why is the Avocado way a healthy food choice?

    Our recipes are put together in a sensible manner in order to encourage more greens and fewer carbohydrates. For us this represents a healthier food choice. Furthermore, doing your own home cooked meals give you a better overview of what you eat and over time it changes the way you view food in general
  • How do I change or cancel my subscription?

    You can make changes to your subscription at any time in your account. Deliveries for Wednesdays need to be cancelled latest the previous wednesday at midnight. Deliveries for Friday need to be cancelled latest the previous Sunday at midnight.
  • Can I cancel my delivery when I am on holiday?

    Of course! You can put on change/cancel every scheduled delivery individually in your customer profile. Just remember, the deadline for changing or canceling a delivery.
  • Why is there a €50 deposit charge on my first order?

    Avocado uses reusable isolation boxes to deliver the ingredients. This box is quite expensive but highly efficient. In order to ensure that boxes don’t go missing we ask for a deposit for the box. Every customer only pays the deposit one time, regardless of how many boxes and deliveries you have. If you do not wish to have any more deliveries from us, just send us an email ( and we will pick up your final box and refund your deposit.
  • How do I pay?

    At Avocado you can easily pay with your credit card. Just set up your payment details once and your payment details will be saved for future purchases. Your card details are stored safely with STRIPE a secure online payment provider
  • What can I use my credits for?

    Your credits can be used to pay for any products on our website. Your credits do not expire.
  • Where do my credits come from?

    Credits can only be issued by Avocado. You can be given credits due to a promotional offer, a refund or other internal campaigns.
  • Can I have my credit paid out in cash?

    Credits can never be paid out in cash nor can it be transferred to another customer. Credits do not expire.
  • Where do you deliver?

    We deliver to all addresses within the country of Luxembourg. However we are open to discussion if you would like your box delivery to any other country.
  • When do you deliver?

    Deliveries are every Wednesday and Friday any time between 7:00-18:00
  • What happens on bank holidays?

    Usually we deliver on Wednesdays and Fridays. If this is a bank holiday we reserve the right to change the delivery day. Don’t worry, the exact day will be communicated to you well in advance
  • What if I am not at home to accept the delivery?

    Don’t worry if you are not at home when we deliver. You can leave us an instruction where to put the box (within 50m of your door) if you are not home. This can be done either when you order your box or the same day just leave a note on the door. In case there are no instructions from you, the driver will leave the box at a place he finds suitable.
  • What do I do if there is a perished or broken item in my box or if an item is missing?

    We do our utmost best to provide you with the freshest ingredients possible. However, in the unlikely event that you receive a perished or broken product, don’t worry. Just send us an email and a photo of the product within 24 hours of receiving the box to and we will refund you to your customer account. Ofcourse the same applies if you have an item missing. Just send us an email within 24 hours
  • What do I do with the empty box?

    We recycle the boxes. Just put the clean and dry box outside on the day of your next delivery and the driver will return it to us. Please take good care of the boxes, we care about the environment and would like to use the boxes many many times!
  • Will the contents of my box remain fresh if I'm not in to accept the delivery?

    Our boxes are well insulated and can keep cold for enough time for you to come home. This said, we do however not take the responsibility if you instruct us to put the box in a place which is very hot (over 25c) or very cold (under -10c)
  • Will the box ingredients stay fresh for a week?

    Our menus are carefully put together so you will have some ingredients which you can keep longer than others. We always advise to consume the fish and minced meat products within 2 days, or freeze it upon reception if you wish to keep it longer
  • Which ingredients do you assume I have at home?

    On every recipe you can see a list of ingredients to have at home. But these will include olive oil, vinegar, butter, milk, eggs, salt and pepper and some common herbs and spices. However, if larger quantities are needed, these will be provided.
