This recipe is for 8 persons if you also have other BBQ items such as sausages, grill cheese or other. If you only have ribs, you should double the recipe. It may seem like alot of ribs, but please consider that there is really not alot of meat on the ribs since most of it is bone.

  • 1.6 Kg of pre-cooked and unmarinated BBQ ribs. (Alternatively you can buy them raw and unmarinated and then bake them on low heat in the oven for approx 2 hours.)

For the BBQ sauce:

  • 300ml ketchup (preferebly sweetend with apple sauce. You can get this in organic supermarkets)
  • 2-3 tbsp. honey
  • 3-4 crushed garlic cloves
  • 1 heaped tsp. sweet paprika powder
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (or more if you like it very spicy)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper

How to do:

  1. Mix all the BBQ sauce ingredients together to a smooth sauce.

  2. Brush the sauce on the ribs in a thick layer.

  3. Grill the ribs on a pre-heated BBQ with the lid closed for approx. 4-5 min on each side until brown and hot to the bone. Careful not to burn them!

  4. Cut the ribs into portion sizes. Use the remaining BBQ sauce as a side dip for the ribs or other BBQ items such a sausages or grill cheese.
