What do you fancy in moments when there is just so much brain work going on? Is it the sip of sweet soda or is it the taste of melting chocolate in your mouth to keep up the good working spirit? 

At Avocado, we are constantly seeking new ways to nourish our bodies optimally and rid ourselves of the overpowering urge for sweet foods. One of our all time favourite recipes to conquer your daily energy dip is a simple but very effective mini-meal:

Delicious toasted whole grain rye bread with nuts and seeds, topped with ripe avocado, blueberry slices and garden cress 

Yes, right - the typical healthy eater's avocado toast. But wait! It's much more than that: Avocado is rich mono-saturated fats which support blood flow. Avocados lower the blood pressure and contain many nutrients. Blueberries are considered to be one of the world’s most healthiest foods and their antioxidants help protect your cells. Generally you can say that they support your body's systems. Wholegrain rye bread with nuts and seeds contains a lot of fibre, it supports digestion and makes you feel full much better than white bread. Furthermore, it contains omega-3 fatty acids and proteins from the nuts and seeds. Top your bread with cress which is rich in vitamin c and iron. Iron supports the oxygen transport in your red blood cells. 

Wow, that's a lot. This is what we love about our typical healthy eater's avocado toast. It turns our body into a power plant and brings us to the right level to create great things!
