Chili sin carne bowl with avocado topping and sour cream

  • Soy mince100  g
  • Tomatoes300  g
  • Red bell pepper1  pcs
  • A jar of tomato paste1  pcs
  • A jar of sweet corn1  pcs
  • Avocado1  pcs
  • Sour cream1  pcs

Good to have at home

  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Olive oil
  • Garlic cloves1 pcs
  • Cayenne pepper1 pinch
  • Hot water200 ml
  • Sweet paprika powder0,5 tsp.
  • Vegetable broth or water200 ml
  • Lemon juice1 dash

How to do:


  • Add the soy mince to a bowl and pour over with hot water. Let soak for 10 min.
  • Meanwhile, clean and cube tomatoes and bell pepper. Drain sweet corn into a colander and rinse under water. Peel and finely slice garlic.

  • Heat some olive oil in a large pan. Add the soy mince and fry with a pinch of salt, a pinch of cayenne pepper and sweet paprika powder for 5 min. on high heat. Add garlic and sauté for another minute on medium heat. Deglaze with vegetable broth and stir in tomato paste. Stir to combine. Add bell pepper and tomatoes and cook for 10 min. on medium heat. Add sweet corn and cook for another 5 min. Season to taste with salt and pepper afterwards.

Avocado and sour cream

  • Pit and peel avocado. Cut into smaller chunks and drizzle with some lemon juice to prevent from discoloring. Smoothen the sour cream by stirring it.


  • Add the chili sin carne to larger bowls and top with sour cream and avocado. Sprinkle with some freshly ground black pepper and enjoy while hot!
